Olympus Micro Four Thirds new lens Announcement

You may not know it but companies like Olympus put a lot of hard work in the development of their cameras. Particularly for their lenses they want the best quality they can get. I know from experience that Olympus offers a quality product that you can’t go wrong.

I was browsing around today when I found this good article that announced Olympus new lens called the Micro Four Thirds. I think this will change the game for Olympus, and I’m quite excited myself for this new development.

According to the article:

“The company is touting the M.Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm F4.8-5.6 lens as the smallest 600mm-equivalent lens (Micro Four Thirds cameras have a crop factor of 2x) on the market with a diameter of 2.8 inches and a length of 4.5 inches. Weight-wise, it tips the scale at less than a pound. This glass also comes with a new focusing motor that delivers silent and precise AF, which makes it suitable for recording videos.”

What do you think of this new development? I think this is a great development for video, and how it is becoming more and more popular in our society. There is another lens next to this one, when it came out users didn’t think it matched the camera very well. Olympus decided to come out with a new camera to make up for it.

“The other new lens in Olympus’ stable is the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4-5.6. Like the 75-300mm glass, this optics has a silent AF module as well.

When the Olympus E-P2 was announced last year, many users felt the silver 17mm pancake lens did not complement the black camera body. Hence, Olympus is dishing out a black version of this glass. Also updated with a new color is the FL-14 hotshoe flash, which gets a new black makeover.”

What do you guys think of this new development from Olympus?
